One image says a thousand words. I took an urbex photography walk in the late factory area of Island Csepel in Budapest, Hungary. Sadly time (and also people) are ruining this famous part of the city.
Csepel Iron and Metal Works. Once a citadel of the socialist economy, tens of thousands of workers worked here. Scattered today, there are still companies operating in the old industrial area. In spite of the spring sunshine, the deteriorating condition and plenty of rubbish casts a bad light on the industrial district, which now resembles only a rusty cemetery of buildings. Located in Hungary on Csepel island in the southern part of Budapest, founded in 1897.
